It’s becoming increasingly clear to me that, though I didn’t think about this at the time, I probably started a blog because I need somewhere to vent my boundless rage that is not random people’s Facebook walls. I mean, one thing among the many thousands of things that are guaranteed to raise my blood pressure is when folks get all “the internet isn’t real, and it’s not a viable platform for communication,” but also like, Facebook fights are dumb, I’m supposed to be an adult now.

So here’s the thing that got me all het up this week: gay marriage.

strangers and acquaintances are lately the most irritating people on earth. ugh. from telling me to smile more, asking about and commenting on my tattoo, my hair, my language and religion, where i’m from, what i look like/my style… it’s uncomfortable and difficult enough with real friends. wish everyone else would step back. ugh.

In one instance an old Englishman told her: “Your tribe needs to behave like proper English children.” Mishal is also fearless at calling out the sexism in BBC where her good looks often got her comments from fellow colleagues such as John Humphrys who is reported to have asked Mishal if she got the job because of her attractive appearance. She rebuked him publicly. This woman isn’t here to take your racist and sexist crap.
