South Asians on western TV Shows
The Good Wife inspired me to start watching other TV shows with South Asian characters played by South Asian actors. It’s unfair to compare anything to The Good Wife but these shows have seriously been disappointing me! I didn’t realize how many demeaning roles male desi actors have to play! Well, at least Outsourced has been cancelled - we’re making small steps… Anyway, here are the shows I’ve started watching. Some are funny, some are mehh…

I haven’t started watching Royal Pains, Alcatraz or Nurse Jackie yet, but they need to go on the list too. Also, I stopped watching Awkward Black Girl for personal/political reasons, but I love Sujata Day. I think she’s in some new shows soon(?).
